Royal Greenwich Resident’s Rainbow

Royal Greenwich Resident’s Rainbow

Colour will be bursting into every corner of the borough this September with the Royal Greenwich Residents’ Rainbow.

Eight locations across Royal Greenwich will be transformed by technicoloured light installations, community arts pieces and ribbons sharing residents’ thanks and wishes hung on wishing trees.  These include: Abbey Wood, Blackheath, Charlton, Eltham, Greenwich, Plumstead, Thamesmead, Woolwich.

Each area will be lit and decorated in ribbons from one single colour to begin with, but throughout September, the colours and lights will be exchanged between areas, making each part of the borough a rainbow of colour with messages of gratitude from across communities.

Ribbons sharing residents’ messages will be displayed from Monday 7th September.

The month-long celebrations will culminate in a spectacular laser light display that will be seen by residents far and wide on Saturday 26th September.
