Greenwich Market was established by Royal Charter in 1700 and originally sold fruit, vegetables and livestock. Nowadays it’s the centre of Greenwich shopping life, with shops and stalls all undercover, packed with art, antiques, fashion, jewellery, handmade gifts and delicious street food from all over the world. The Food Court is open daily and serves up everything from pizza pockets and ramen noodle burgers to Sicilian cannoli and vegan doughnuts, all lovingly prepared right before your eyes! Greenwich Market also hold regular foodie events like Vegan Vibes and local favourite, Park It in the Market – a classic car meet with street food and music!

Blackheath is a busy hub of café-culture and home to an excellent Sunday Farmer’s Market, where you can find lots of delicious local produce like honey, raw milk, brown shrimps and seasonal specials including Kentish asparagus in spring and cherries in July.

Royal Arsenal Riverside in Woolwich host their very own Farmers' Market, located on Artillery Square, which provides quality locally sourced artisan food for residents and visitors to buy on the day. Traders range from bakers, greengrocers, cheesemongers, florists, fresh fruit and more. Nearby, Eltham Producers’ Market in Passey Place has regular stalls showcasing home-grown, local produce that regularly attracts hundreds of visitors and is a must for foodies and market fans.
