Built during the reign of James I, Charlton House is the finest and best preserved Jacobean Mansion in London.
Charlton House is the ideal venue for weddings, conferences and meetings.
Want to look around? The house is open Monday to Friday 9am-10pm and Saturdays 9am-5pm. You can always pop in to have a look around and admire the original Jacobean strapwork ceilings and fire places. They also have a free audio guide which you can download to your phone. We suggest calling ahead to make sure rooms are available to see. Its free entry, too!
It is also home to Charlton Tea Room serving a delicious selection of hot drinks, lunches and snacks. Afternoon Tea is also available for £11.90 per head, call to book (+44) 20 8856 3951. There is also a book library, toy library and Japanese language school.
An exciting year-round programme of activities includes classical music concerts, tours, talks, children’s workshops and themed evenings. There’s lots going on!
