Join the Old Royal Naval College every Sunday for a range of family-friendly activities. From storytelling to creative-making sessions, messy play for the little ones and actors dressed in costume, there is something for everyone each week. Keep scrolling to find out what’s coming soon!

Programme: 

First Sunday Storytelling - Book Now
Come along Old Royal Naval College on First Sunday of each month and enjoy a reduced £5 adult entry of the Painted Hall. In addition to this, take part in an engaging and interactive storytelling session inspired by the amazing artwork in this spectacular space.

Times: Morning (11:30am-12 noon) and afternoon (1:30pm-2:00pm)
Suggested age: 5-10 years old
Price: Children go free. Parents will need to purchase a £5 Painted Hall entry ticket or use their annual pass. Advance booking is required.

Make History
Come and take part in creative making sessions on the second Sunday of each month. Learn about the stories behind the buildings at the Old Royal Naval College and use a range of materials to make your own creations to take home.

Times: 11am – 4pm
Suggested age: 5+ 
Venue: The Clore at the Visitor Centre

Early Years Messy Play
Join the Old Royal Naval College on the third Sunday of each month for a mix of sensory activities, sand and water play, construction, and creative fun for your little ones.

Times: Morning (10:00am – 11:30am) and afternoon (12:30pm – 2:00pm) 
Suggested ages: 2-5 years olds
Venue: The Clore at the Visitor Centre

Meet The Past
On the fourth Sunday of each month, come and meet someone from history. As you walk the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College, a different actor in costume will be there each month to regale you with stories of the past.

Times: 11:00am – 3:30pm
Suggested ages: 5+

Each Sunday join in with family activities and explore the Museum's collection. Start a fantastic journey together led by an artist facilitator, who will introduce you to objects, people, histories and cultures represented within the National Maritime Museum's collection.

With a different creative activity each week, Discover Sundays will launch your family's exploration of the galleries!
