Pressed Flower Art Workshop for Adults & Children

About

Step into the delicate world of pressed flower art in this calming, creative workshop for adults and children. Using real flowers and foliage grown and hand-pressed on the family farm in Suffolk, you'll create your own framed botanical artwork to take home.

This beginner-friendly session invites you to slow down, connect with nature, and enjoy the gentle process of floral arrangement. You'll learn how to plan your composition, choose colours and textures that work in harmony, and use fine tools and flower glue to secure your design on high-quality art paper. Each participant will be provided with a curated selection of seasonal pressed flowers and a frame—perfect for gifting, display, or keeping as a personal memento.

Aprons and all materials are provided. The glue is water-based and child-safe. No experience necessary—just bring your love for nature and creativity.

This workshop is part of Thames-Side Studios Open Studios—a brilliant riverside day out featuring hundreds of open artist studios, hands-on workshops, talks, handmade goods, and plenty of inspiration. Explore the creative community, meet local makers, and enjoy family-friendly fun.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults only need a ticket if they'd like to make their own piece—many choose to join in and create something alongside their child.

* Suitable for ages 5+ and Adults
