The Rivershop Workshop

About

Come along to The Rivershop for a relaxed, hands-on woodworking session where you'll make your own handcrafted trinket box from beautiful English walnut. This gentle introduction to woodworking is designed for both adults and families - no experience required, and suitable for ages 4+.

Using pre-cut hardwood pieces, you'll assemble your box with food-safe wood glue, then sand it smooth with a professional-grade orbital sander. To finish, you'll apply a coat of Odie's Oil - a rich, natural wax that enhances the grain and gives your piece a warm, lasting finish.

This one-hour workshop is perfect for anyone who enjoys making with their hands and wants to take home a meaningful, functional object. Whether you're creating a keepsake box or a heartfelt handmade gift, this is a project to be proud of.

All tools and materials are provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult (the adult may observe for free, or participate with an additional ticket).
