World Wide Knit in Public Day is 20 years old in 2025!

About

World Wide Knit in Public Day is 20 years old in 2025! And in honour of our Wednesday Stitch Nights, we're renaming it World Wide Stitch in Public Day! The day is a way for knitters, crocheters, stitchers and makers to come together and enjoy each other's company and shared love of craft.

To celebrate, Woolwich Works is collaborating with the Woolwich & Plumstead Roses WI and hosting a FREE day of activities from 11am to 3pm including:

Community circle stitch and natter
Join Woolwich Works as the Stitch Night friends and fellow makers celebrate World Wide Knit In Public Day! All stitchers are welcome - bring your own knitting or crochet or other stitching project to work on and meet other like-minded makers.

There will also be a Mini marketplace and a talk and Q&A session with Dr Mia Hobbs, a clinical psychologist who is passionate about knitting and its benefits for our mental health.
