About

🎶 Smell the spice & Guinness punch, hear the music of Nat King Cole, feel the joy.

This interactive exhibition brings the Windrush era to life with original furniture, vintage decorations, with music from Jim Reeves, Ace Cannon and Frank Sinatra, clothing, and festive treats. You'll be able to handle real objects from the time and learn about the brave young people who made the journey from the Caribbean to the UK in 1948. Many of them lived and worked in Woolwich.

View the Windrush video telling the story of the HMT Empire Windrush a passenger liner, originally named Monte Rose.

✨ More than an exhibition – it's a celebration- this unique holiday experience invites families and communities of all ages to gather, learn, and celebrate the enduring spirit of the Windrush Generation.
