About

An epic stage drama starring Nollywood legends - Throne of Ashes: Ìkú Bàbá Yèyé, performed in English.

Set in the ancient town of Ìgbóhò, Throne of Ashes: Ìkú Bàbá Yèyé brings to the stage the grandeur and tension of the Oyo Empire at the height of its power. This is no ordinary story of kings against their people. Instead, it shines a light on the struggles of the empire's own elite — chiefs, priests, and royals — whose ambitions and rivalries begin to turn inward, shaking the very foundation of their rule.

This spectacular production brings together some of Nollywood's most celebrated actors, including Femi Adebayo, Ibrahim Chatta, Ogogo, Gabriel Afolayan, Damilola Oni, Ronke Oshodi Oke, and Akin Lewis, uniting powerhouse talent in a production that blends drama, tradition, and stagecraft at its finest.

The play opens the palace gates to audiences, inviting them into a world where wealth and power come at a cost, where duty and pride collide, and where the crown itself grows heavier with every choice.

Throne of Ashes: Ìkú Bàbá Yèyé is more than history retold — it is an unforgettable stage experience of splendour, struggle, and survival, brought to life by Nigeria's biggest stars.
