About
Charlton House & Gardens is taking part in Open House Festival 2026. The house and gardens will be open to everyone on Saturday 12th September as part of the annual free event. Come and see one of the finest examples of Jacobean architecture in the UK!
What’s happening:
- Timed House & architectural tours – bookable on the Open House website
- See the gardens in their September finery
- Chat to Lady Newton in one of the upstairs rooms
- Food and drink at Frilly’s
- Tours of St Luke’s (the church is opposite the house). Trips up the church tower (weather permitting), see the Millennium Tapestry, the bust of former - Prime Minister Spencer Perceval and more
All the rooms will be open. If you don’t manage to secure a ticket please come anyway and enjoy the house.
