Join Greenwich Park for an introduction to moths and discover some of the marvellous moth species.

About

Did you know that there are over 2,500 species of moth in the UK? From tiger stripe wings to snake-mimic caterpillars, they are far from dull! Join Greenwich Park for an introduction to moths and discover some of the marvellous moth species found in Greenwich Park with expert Joe Beale.

The event will start with an introduction to moths and trapping techniques, then with a bit of luck and a dry weather forecast, Joe will show us some of the moths he may have caught the night before. This is a brilliant opportunity to learn more about the many wonderful moth species of Greenwich Park.

This is an adult-focused event, but children age 12 and over who are accompanied by an adult are welcome. This event is wheelchair accessible and will be hosted at only one location where seating will be provided.

To request your ticket, email aevans@royalparks.org.uk. Once places are full, you will be added to a waiting list and will be notified up to the morning of the event if there are cancellations.

* This event is provided through Mission: Invertebrate, a Royal Parks Project that aims to celebrate, discover and protect the invertebrates that are in our parks and beyond, thanks to players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.  Find out more here
