About

Give Greenwich Market some Love this May!

Greenwich Market is excited to announce the upcoming Love Your Local Market (LYLM) fortnight! Running throughout the UK from Friday 16th to Saturday 31st May, this joyful festival celebrates the beating hearts of so many local communities – their markets! Trading in the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site since 1737, Greenwich Market is celebrating this year the 40th anniversary of its Arts & Crafts Market. Come down, celebrate this essential London landmark, and give it the love it deserves.

Locals and visitors from the UK and abroad are always delighted by the community, creativity and comprehensive range of art, clothes, collectables and food they find at Greenwich Market. LYLM is a great opportunity to enjoy all this, support the traders and have a wonderful day out.

Greenwich Market has planned an exciting programme of events. Alongside the rich variety of stalls, stores and food trucks for which the market is renowned, visitors will be treated to a mix of free musical performances, magic and face painting on most days throughout the fortnight! Families, couples, friends, curious solo explorers – everyone is welcome!

Greenwich Market’s impressive, heritage-listed, steel-and-glass central hall will be festooned with flags and bunting, bringing pure party atmosphere. The decorations will certainly get the eclectic family of traders in the festive spirit and is sure to do the same for you. So, make LYLM your excuse to visit, embrace the party vibes and show loads of love for this iconic London market.
