Greenwich Market celebrating its 287th birthday on Tuesday 3rd September 2024

About

Greenwich Market, one of London’s longest running and most beloved local markets, is celebrating its 287th birthday on Greenwich Market Day, Tuesday 3rd September.

Founded by Royal Charter in the heart of what is now the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site, the Market has been serving locals and visitors alike since 1737.

The celebrations are open to all and will include live entertainment, arts and crafts demonstrations, displays about the Market’s centuries-old history and testaments to the long-termers who’ve been trading here for five, ten and even 20 years!
