Join Creekside Discovery Centre on the hunt in the wilderhood of Creekside.

About

Join Creekside Discovery Centre on the hunt in the wilderhood of Creekside. Even in hard urban environments like streets, footways, walls and the small fragments of habitat adjacent to them wildlife thrives.

Discover Your Wilderhood is FREE and a great way to spend a couple of hours discovering the local area with an expert as you get to know the wildlife that lives where we live. Just like Rue-Leaved Saxifrage which has returned this century, travelling in using the railway lines and then spread on to the streets and paved areas. Or Little Egret a common sight in Deptford Creek and Brookmill Park this century during the summer months.

We will be recording in a 2km square area around Deptford Creek - divided into smaller squares so we can see where species are living now and compare that with what we know of the situation at the turn of the millennium.

You will need to wear comfortable clothes and carry your own refreshments.

* Suitable for ages 14+
