It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in our town centres! The Royal Borough of Greenwich is getting ready to celebrate the most wonderful time of year!

The Christmas spirit will be taking over the town centres with light switch on events in Eltham, Greenwich and Woolwich Town Centre. Expect local craft, gift and food stalls, children’s arts and crafts and festive entertainment. 

Come and enjoy the seasonal treats and warm drinks.

Christmas Market Dates: 
- Greenwich, Greenwich Market and Cutty Sark Gardens | Lantern Parade and Light Switch ON | Wednesday 19th November  | 4pm to 6pm
- Eltham Town Centre, Passey Place | Light Switch ON | Saturday 22nd November | 12 noon to 6pm    
- Woolwich Town Centre, General Gordon Square | Light Switch ON | Saturday 29th November | 12 noon to 6pm 

Greenwich Market - Join the parade from 4pm, before gathering around the tree at 5pm to light it up! 

Eltham and Woolwich Town Centre - Both locations, follow festive art trails, join local performers for Christmas singalongs, and little ones can get stuck into free activities, workshops, arts and crafts with local arts organisations. Plus, pick up unique gifts and treats from local market traders and swap sleigh for funfair rides, with a selection of children’s attractions.  

Eltham Christmas (22nd November)
Address: Passey Place, Eltham SE9 5DQ
Featuring the launch of the  festive art trail along Eltham High Street which will run until the new year, local performers, free children's activities; workshops & arts and crafts with local organisations, local market traders selling gifts, treats, food and refreshments, children's funfair rides and the tree lighting ceremony. 

Woolwich Christmas (29th November)
Address: General Gordon Square, Woolwich SE18 6HD 
Featuring a festive art trail along the High Street, local performers, free children's activities; workshops & arts and crafts with local organisations, local market traders selling gifts, treats, food and refreshments, children's funfair rides and the tree lighting ceremony. 

Gateway to Christmas (29th November)
Address: Beresford Square, Woolwich SE18 6HD 
Celebrating the recent relandscaping of Beresford Square, the Royal Arsenal Gatehouse will be transformed into a breathtaking festive canvas of light and music. Featuring a soundtrack composed especially for Woolwich by local sound artists; A Right\Left Projects, synched perfectly in time to captivating lighting effects.
