The emerging singer with a unique take on contemporary soul is definitely one to watch in 2023

About

Alt-pop and future soul songwriter China Bowls is definitely one to watch in 2023. Citing influences like Lianne La Havas and Kae Tempest, China's unique take on contemporary soul has been championed by the likes of The Line of Best Fit and BBC Radio London.

Her signature soulful vocals combined with dreamy synths and crunchy drums in beautifully crafted arrangements welcomes listeners to engage with her thought-provoking lyrics.

China's music has taken her to iconic stages at The Jazz Cafe, Ronnie Scott's and Love Supreme Festival, as well as supporting the likes of Fatima, Steam Down and Ishmael Ensemble.

Don't miss one of this year's most exciting emerging singers at the revamped Woolwich Works bar, accompanied by piano and drums.
