Children have always played with toys, whether they were born 2,000 years ago or last week

About

Children living where Greenwich now stands have always played with toys, whether they were born 2,000 years ago or last week. Together we’ll explore why we love toys so much, play with toys that entertained children over the past 200 years, and become toymakers for a child of the past.

Charlton House Explorers run every Tuesday of the school summer holidays. Anytime between 10:00am - 12 noon each Tuesday morning, your children aged 5-12 can drop in to Charlton House for crafts, storytelling, games, and more fun based on Royal Greenwich’s history. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the sessions.
