A classic tale of romance, betrayal and revenge

Returning home from military service, Turiddu is incensed to find his fiancée Lola has married a neighbour, Alfio. In revenge, Turiddu seduces another woman from the village, Santuzza – despite his mother’s misgivings. Lola learns of this new relationship and embarks on a dangerous game, jealously tempting Turiddu to start an affair with her. When Santuzza discovers what is happening, all hell and passion break loose, leading to disaster for all concerned.
