Celebrate local black-owned businesses at Greenwich Market

About

Greenwich Market will mark Black History Month with a series of events celebrating local black-owned businesses of African and Caribbean descent.

Join  The Red Carpet UK on 22nd and 24th October as they get into the groove with live music, dance and spoken word performances!

Sunday 22 October is all about music and spoken word at the Market. Hosted by singer Toni Tones, the program runs from 11am to 2pm, and features poets and spoken-word artists Aaron, Russeni and SJ, and music from singers Delicia and Enrico.

Two days later, on Tuesday 24 October, the Market will reverberate to dance and drumming rhythms. Running again from 11am to 2pm, the session will feature Rhythm Masters Dance Company and the African drumming of Henri Gaobi.

The market will also be sharing some very special Meet The Makers blogs throughout the month to showcase some of our phenomenal black-owned brands and following their stories from emerging entrepreneurs to booming businesses!
