A magical and uplifting cross-cultural collaboration, bringing together Afro-Latin, Funk and Soul elements with a Senegalese twist

About

Woolwich Works and Rhythm Passsport present a unique mix of Senegalese traditions, funk, soul and Latin American rhythms.

The Awale Jant Band is the coming together of The Jant Band, led by Senegalese singer Biram Seck and the group Awale, the creation of French guitarist Thibaut Remy.

Together they form a collective of musicians from Africa and Europe with music from Thibaut alongside words and stories by Biram. The result is a mixture of Senegalese traditions, funk, soul and Latin American rhythms.
