About

An exclusive evening with writer-director Adjani Salmon, whose breakthrough TV series, Dreaming Whilst Black, garnered a slew of critical acclaim including a BAFTA & RTS Award and an International Emmy Nomination.

Exploring the fine balance between creative craft and non-traditional pathways, this exclusive masterclass focuses on Adjani’s journey towards creating his breakthrough TV Series with the BBC – and how you can create your own path to success.

Hosted by The Old Royal Naval College in partnership with the University of Greenwich, the masterclass will take place in the stunning surroundings of the Chapel of St Peter and St Paul, which has featured in many blockbuster hits including Bridgerton and Four Weddings and a Funeral.

The talk will start at 7pm, with all ticket holders having exclusive access to the Painted Hall from 6pm-7pm.

About Adjani
Hailing from Jamaica, Adjani is a writer-director and actor who only writes “what he likes.” As well as being an avid reader, he spends his time people-watching, eavesdropping and chatting up strangers, not putting his Architecture degree to good use.

In 2023, his breakthrough TV series, Dreaming Whilst Black, garnered a slew of critical acclaim including a BAFTA & RTS Award and an International Emmy Nomination. In collaboration with A24, Season 1 & 2 are available globally (including being spotted in an illegal DVD shop in Uganda). Despite his accolades, Adjani is most proud of the fact that he can finally pay rent from his once passion turned profession.
