Explore and enjoy the Castle after hours whilst being entertained in the open air at the Summer Lates opening with Cygnet Committee

About

Explore and enjoy the Castle after hours whilst being entertained in the open air at the second of the 2022 Summer Lates openings with Cygnet Committee.

Join everyone in the courtyard of historic Severndroog Castle, the only place you can enjoy a drink surrounded by ancient woodland and have 360° views of London and miles and miles beyond.

Cygnet Committee: Stuart Swann (guitar and lead vocals); Blair Gould (guitar); Harvey Reehal (bass) and Jamie Faith (drums and backing vocals) promise an eclectic programme from the Cure to the Clash, via Bowie, the Stones and more, plenty to get you up dancing and singing.

Food and drinks will be available to buy from Severndroog's partner The Terrace Tearoom from 6.30pm. Their celebrated chef Christopher Hackett will be creating delicious food and cocktails, as well as providing wine and beer all evening. So, arrive early, the music starts at 7.30pm.

Severndroog is a tower built in the 18th century situated in Castle Wood in the Oxleas Woodlands in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Built on Shooters Hill, one of the highest points in the city, the viewing platform boasts some of the most spectacular views in London. This folly was restored in 2013 and preserved by the Severndroog Castle Building Preservation Trust. Described as ‘London’s best kept secret’. ‘Forget the Eye or the Shard, you just have to climb to the top of Severndroog Castle for the best views in London’.

* Early booking is recommended.  If you book a premium ticket, you can experience the sunset view from the rooftopy of Severndroog Castle in addition to the music.

* Suitable for ages 14+
