Avery Hill Park is a large area of open parkland sat on the The Green Chain Walk, boasting a splendid array of trees and is notable for being home to Greenwich University's magnificent winter garden, a hothouse containing tropical trees and plants from around the world. There is also a rose and flower garden, making it a lovely place to sit and relax.
Avery Hill offers an extensive area of open park space, making it an ideal space for outdoor sports and exercise. It's well eqiupped as well with a floodlit multi-use games area, with football and cricket facilities available for club hire. There's even an outdoor gym and outdoor table tennis tables funded by the English Table Tennis Association, installed as part of the Royal Borough of Greenwich's Olympic legacy. There is a cafe with public toilets situated in the park, next to the children's playground and is one of Greenwich's Green Flag Award-winning parks.
