About

Final weekend to visit 'Quick Tide' by Street artist and colour fanatic Felipe Pantone.

Don't miss out on your opportunity to visit Argentinian - Spanish visual artist Felipe Pantone's dynamic installation on the Tide.

“Colour is affected by many things,” says the artist Felipe Pantone, “whether it’s a juxtaposition or a reflection, colour is really happening.”

Quick Tide - a striking art installation by Argentinian-Spanish visual artist Felipe Pantone. His first UK based commission, the artist is recognised for his stylistic collision between an analog past and a digitised future, the dynamically colourful installation will swathe the elevated facades of The Tide, the neighbourhood’s riverside destination for recreation, culture, and wellness.

Free to visit, Quick Tide draws audiences up the layers of The Tide, transforming the elevated walkway into a playful journey that takes the visitor from Peninsula Square to the Thames Path. Taking inspiration from Pantone’s previous work, Chromadynamica and Subtractive Variability, which explores how the displacement of the light spectrum impacts colour and repetition through the use of neon gradient geometric shapes, optical patterns and jagged grids. Visible from both the upper and ground level, the artwork will provide unique perspectives and experiences depending on the time of day and viewers’ location. Quick Tide incorporates a mixture of transparent and opaque vinyl to transforming the angular shapes of The Tide with a continuous ambition to transform its striking architectural archways and public realm into new environments that play with shifting perceptions of colour and light, The Tide offers a creative canvas that caters to a myriad of interests for those that visit. Through regular commissions with leaders of the visual-art sector, the outdoor space is constantly reimagined by these partners to forge connections and memories.

Come along and see how the light refracts in the changing sunlight. It's definitely one for the 'gram.
