About

City Cruises is the leading operator of tourism and leisure passenger services on river Thames, with the largest fleet of boats on the river Thames featuring open-air decks and comfortable saloons with panoramic views. The boats are designed to give you the best vantage point of river life. Enjoy the views from the open air on the upper deck or comfortably in the saloon while listening to an entertaining recorded commentary telling you what you’re looking at on the banks at either side of the river. It’s a story full of scientific discovery, naval innovation, dark deeds and regular London life through the ages.

You’ll pass extraordinary sights such as Canary Wharf and go under Tower Bridge before making your first and only stop at Tower Pier for more happy passengers to embark.

Once away from Tower Pier, the recorded commentary is superseded by one of the crew, telling tales of river Thames. They’ll talk you through some of London’s finest bits of property as you cruise beneath London and Southwark Bridges, past the mighty Shard, the vintage battleship HMS Belfast and the swish new Walkie-Talkie building, before reaching Southwark Bridge and approaching the Millennium Bridge of wobbly infamy.

Your trip is topped off by arriving at Westminster Pier, overlooked by Big Ben. If you’re lucky enough, the bell might even be ringing when you arrive! It’s just about the most pleasant and relaxing way we can think of to see London’s riverside landmarks in comfort and at a sedate and gentle pace. River travel doesn’t get much more charming than this. It only takes 30 minutes to cruise from Greenwich to Tower Pier, and a further 40 minutes to get to Westminster.

You can continue your sightseeing tour far beyond the river with a great selection of package deals. You can combine a sightseeing cruise with tickets to one of London’s top attractions, including the London Eye, the Shard, the Tower of London and more.
