The Tavern Bar and Nile Restaurant at The Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich

Built in 1837, this Grade 1 listed venue serves traditional British dishes in the beautiful riverside restaurant made using top quality, fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

Sit back and relax and take in the splendid views of river Thames and London.  Enjoy the best selling ‘Proper Fish and Chips’ or the ‘Trafalgar Cheese Burger’ with all the trimmings in the Duncan Bar, paired with a fine wine or local craft ale.

In Victorian London there was one pub that represented the best of Britain’s naval might and cultural standing.  A place where William Gladstone and Charles Dickens could be seen dining side-by-side.  An oasis away from the industrial sprawl, but yet at the centre of an Empire.  Exactly 170 years later the Trafalgar Tavern still stands in the Greenwich Maritime World Heritage Site, and it remains one of London’s most essential public houses.
