Lesnes Abbey Wood Park is one of South-East London's best kept historical secrets.

Lesnes Abbey is a unique green oasis 10 minutes’ walk from Abbey Wood Train Station. At 88 hectares this large and unique site contains numerous opportunities for exploration including ancient woodland, park, a ruined abbey, heath, meadow and ponds alongside formal parkland and gardens with views across the London skyline.

Visitors are welcome all year round with a range of events and a beautiful space for conferences, workshops and wedding receptions.

By Car -
Lesnes Abbey is situated off the B213 Abbey Road, Abbey Wood. There are two car parks about 10 minutes walk away, situated near Abbey Wood Station, Gayton Road and Fossington Way car parks.  There is limited parking can be found on Abbey Road and New Road.

By Bus -
The park is on bus routes 229 (Thamesmead - Sidcup), 602 (Thamesmead, Erith, Bexleyheath) 669 (Woolwich - Erith), 469 (Woolwich - Abbey Wood), 301 ( Woolwich - Bexleyheath), 244 (Woolwich, Plumstead Erith), 472 (North Greenwich - Abbey Wood) , B11, 180 (North Greenwich - Erith).  Bus route 99 serves the woodlands via the Woolwich Road entrance.

By Train -
