Uber Boat by Thames Clippers are looking for people who want to develop their career in the maritime industry and progress within Uber Boat by Thames Clippers from Deck Customer Service Assistant to Mate to Master, driving our boats up and down the Thames. You’ll need to be focused and motivated and want to succeed. Uber Boat at Thames Clippers will provide you with all the training and support you will need so you’re set up for success.

You will work on board the boats that travel up and down the Thames assisting the Master, Mates and Onboard Customer Service Assistant (OCSA) ensuring the customer’s safety at all times and making sure they have a wonderful journey.

You will make sure any boat maintenance and cleaning are carried out efficiently and effectively and also assist the OCSA when required with serving the customers on board and stocking the boat.

If you enjoy working with the public, being outside on the river and being part of a fun and busy team then this could be the role for you!

You will be approachable, friendly and helpful, not only to the passengers on board but also to your colleagues. You will be expected to deliver the same amazing experience to customers and team at the end of your shift as you do at the start.

Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £26,099 a year, plus benefits
Hours of Work: 42 hours a week, Monday to Sunday
Location: You will be based on the boats, which are moored at Trinity Buoy Wharf, Poplar, London E14 0JY, a short walk from Canning Town tube or a hop across the river in our staff boat, from North Greenwich tube.

Important information: You will be based on the boats on the river and that means you will be on your feet for 10-hour shifts. You will be provided with a full uniform including warm clothing to defend against the British weather!
