Travel through 400 years of local heritage on the hour-long guided tours of the Jacobean mansion at Charlton House, beginning on 1st May and running every Friday through to October.

Get creative at The Fan Museum on Saturday 2nd May with a fan-making workshop where participants make two beautiful fans under the guidance of a talented teacher. These workshops are held on the first Saturday of each month.

From 15th to 31st May, Greenwich Market celebrates being the heart of the shopping community as part of the Love Your Local Market 2026 event. Stop by for a lively programme of performances by local musicians, along with face-painting and a magic show to keep the kids entertained in the half-term week.

The Severndroog Summer Lates series makes a welcome return to the courtyard at Severndroog Castle in mid May. Tickets for the soulful sounds of Motown duo Razmataz are already sold out, but keep an eye on the site for upcoming acts, street-food markets and silent discos.

Cutty Sark hosts a performance of Henry Purcell’s 17th-century opera Dido and Aeneas on 21st May, performed by Monteverdi Choir and Orchestras.

The Free From Festival 2026 – the UK's only gluten- and dairy-free food festival – takes over Woolwich Works on 23rd to 24th May, creating a safe space for people with allergies to sample delicious products.

Fill half-term week with adventure by sending your kids off on a top-secret problem-solving mission at Eltham Palace and Gardens, from 23rd to 31st May.

Greenwich Dog Show is a springtime highlight for any pup lovers out there. Reserve your free ticket in advance for the 24th May to see the prettiest pooches parade through Old Royal Naval College.

The Harlem Globetrotters bring their incredible energy to The O2 arena on 26th May as they face long-time basketball rivals, the Washington Generals, as part of their centenary celebrations.

Head to the Painted Hall on 29th May for Feel Good Friday, a yoga class that will have you ending your working week feeling calm and refreshed.

Spice up your evening with a sexy, sultry circus performance from Aircraft Circus: Sizzling Hot Circus at Woolwich Works on 30th May.

From 12th June, we welcome Mirror Moon, a new hands-on lunar experience at the Royal Observatory. Feel the lunar craters, lava fields and mountains in this multisensory stainless steel artwork.
