For a traditional pub, try the Admiral Hardy or the Old Brewery in Greenwich town centre, both offering fantastic food and local craft beer. On Greenwich Peninsula, The Pilot is a charming historic pub and probably the oldest surviving building in the area. Nearby, you can take a tour of the Meantime Brewery and sample the famous beers in its Tasting Rooms, or buy a few to take home from the Brewery Shop. For top-floor selfie opportunities and classy cocktails, try Eighteen Sky Bar at InterContinental London – The O2.

Woolwich has some wonderful pubs, often in historic buildings. Dine alfresco on the terrace at The Guard House or in the stunning Dial Arch, a restored 18th-century armoury in the heart of the Royal Arsenal.
