Open Studios aims to positively engages visitors and showcase the creative talent within Royal Greenwich. Browse at your leisure, buy art and crafts direct from the makers, join one of the tours or get involved in one of the free activities.  All Welcome!

FREE ACTIVITIES

Drop-In  Art + Crafts (All Ages) - No need to book
The drop-in art + crafts gazebo will be up again and welcoming adults and children of all ages.

Studio Tours (All Ages)  - Duration: 1hr *
These tours will encourage people to explore the building and meet some of the artists. Tours will visit a range of workshops and studio spaces, ending in the print space with refreshments. 

Taster Courses*
Ceramics: Hand-Building - Duration: 2hr Session 
Using clay, create a simple glazed bowl, mug or plant pot. You will then fire them over 24hrs in the Kilns, transforming them into beautiful ceramics for you to pick up a few days after the event.
* Suitable for ages 18+

Printmaking: Mono-Printing - Duration: 2hr Session 
Instant and fun with plenty of avenues to explore. Students on the course will learn the basics of printing, applying and using different materials to create a variety of effects, finishing with a range of their own prints to take home.
* Suitable for ages 18+

Darkroom: Photograms - Duration: 20min Sessions 
Photograms are made by placing objects onto light sensitive paper and exposing to light, creating patterns or pictures on the paper. Visitors will gain an idea of how a darkroom works, the basic principles of photography and end with a selection of photograms they have made. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
