CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF SURPRISE AND SPECTACLE

Greenwich+Docklands International Festival (GDIF) 2025 returns to the Royal Borough of Greenwich with 30 of the worlds most adventurous companies to the parks, basketball courts and town squares across Greenwich, Thamesmead, Woolwich and Stratford to celebrate 30 Years of GDIF!

Discover an all-female high-wire walk framed by London’s best view, extraordinary on-water physical theatre with an urgent climate message, an unmissable fusion of engineering and circus and much more.

Explore the FREE programme of theatre, circus and dance that will take you Above & Beyond.

Above and Beyond (22nd August)
Gaze up in awe as eight parkour performers embark on a breathtaking journey across landmark buildings in Woolwich.

Following the success of Life Lines at GDIF 2024, the French company Lézards Bleus return with their virtuosic combination of movement and climbing skills, to interpret this year’s theme of “Above and Beyond”.

With new music by Roma Yagnik (“Resurgam” GDIF 2023) and a finale set from the Greenwich-based Citizens of the World Choir, this specially commissioned event opens GDIF’s 30th festival in celebration of mutual support and limitless possibility.

*Above and Beyond is supported by The Royal Borough of GreenwichRoyal Greenwich Festivals, Berkeley and Arts Council England

“One of the best free festivals in the UK” (The Guardian), Greenwich+Docklands International Festival will return this summer with an extraordinary programme of theatre, circus and dance to take you Above and Beyond.

Every performance is free and unticketed.
