For a traditional pub, try the Admiral Hardy or the Old Brewery in Greenwich town centre, both offering fantastic food and local craft beer. At the northern border of Greenwich Park you’ll find the Plume of Feathers, a hidden gem of a pub and a favourite with the locals. Davy’s Wine Vaults has an inside bar and dining area as well as two outdoor terraces, brimming with unique character and charm and it serves an interesting and diverse selection of wines.

On Greenwich Peninsula, The Pilot is a charming historic pub and probably the oldest surviving building in the area. Nearby, you can take a tour of the Meantime Brewery and sample the famous beers in its Tasting Rooms, or buy a few to take home from the Brewery Shop. For top-floor selfie opportunities and classy cocktails, try Eighteen Sky Bar at InterContinental London – The O2.

Woolwich has some wonderful pubs, often in historic buildings. Dine alfresco on the terrace at The Guard House or in the stunning Dial Arch, a restored 18th-century armoury in the heart of the Royal Arsenal.
