    Greenwich has an outstanding selection of coffee shops and bakeries to grab yourselves a tasty treat once you arrive.

    Pop into Grind for exceptional coffee in their iconic pink cups, artFix for homemade cakes and tarts, Paul Rhodes Bakery for the most divine pastries or Crosstown Doughnuts to sample their new festive flavours including Magnum Whisky Cream Liqueur and Chocolate & Honeycomb.

    Up for something more substantial? Try The Old Brewery in the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College for their hearty brunch menu, or Bill’s for a traditional full English or their incredible, buttermilk pancake stacks!

    Mid-Morning

    Take a walk up through Greenwich Park to the top of the hill, where as well as incredible views of the London skyline, you’ll standing right next to The Royal Observatory – home of the Prime Meridian of the world. Here, you can place one foot in east and the other in the western hemisphere, and all before lunch!

    After building up an appetite make your way into central Greenwich where there’s an abundance of outstanding food on offer. Maybe have fish & chips and a pint in one of the fantastic riverside pubs or a pre-Christmas meal in the restaurants dotted around the town centre.

    Within Greenwich Market’s Food Court you can choose from an array of international cuisine that changes every day. There’s chocolate and churros, Indian and Ethiopian, truffles and teriyaki, plus pancakes and pizza among others!

    Queen's House Ice Rink

    Get your skates on and head over to the Queen’s House to take a spin on London’s most magical ice rink! Set within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll enjoy unbeatable views of Greenwich Park, the Old Royal Naval College and the river Thames as you weave (or wobble) your way across the ice. Make sure you grab a mulled wine to warm up as you head on to the next stop.

    Greenwich Market Christmas Stalls

    Take a wonder around the historic lanes of Greenwich Market, with its glittering roof, all decorated and lit up by the Christmas Lights. Pick up unique and handcrafted gifts from the boutique shops and stalls as the smells of mulled wine and mice pies waft through the air.

    Evening

    When you’re ready to head off, make sure to stop by Cutty Sark Gardens for a magical end to your day. Gaze up at the famous Cutty Sark Christmas tree as it sparkles in front of the river. What a sight!

    Take the Docklands Light Railway back to central London from Cutty Sark station. It only takes 20 minute, and it goes right under the Thames, before taking you overground, all the way through the spectacular architecture of Canary Wharf lit up in the dark, back to the city.
