On the last Thursday of every month Greenwich Market is home to an evening of classic cars and bikes, great music and street food. Park It in The Market starts after the regular Thursday Market has tidied up for the day.
Hundreds of people show up to listen to some great live music, wander round the food stalls or simply relax in the Coach and Horses or the Admiral Hardy. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming as visitors wander around the classic cars and chat to their owners.
Greenwich Market has just officially re-opened after being refurbished (even though it never really closed, just bits of it at a time). The cleaned up version of the Market is much brighter and shinier than before and the setting sun and rising streetlights glitter through the new glass roof as the night goes on.
The Market is one of those places that seem a pleasure to be in, with an outdoor feel but no risk of getting rained on – it’s a covered Market, for those who have never been. And if you’re one of those people, why not change that for the better and get along to Park It in The Market Thursday 26 May 2016.
The event was voted the best Vintage event 2014 by Time Out and they’ve been to a lot, lot, lot of vintage events so they should know! It all gets going at 7.00pm and some of the boutique shops that line the inside of the Market stay open and join in with the general fun.
So turn up, grab a beer and some food and go and stroke a bonnet or two.
