Punchdrunk are a highly acclaimed global theatre company that have made their new home in Woolwich.  They are are looking to recruit local people to be part of their dedicated team for their exciting new production, The Burnt City, launched in April 2022. 

Deputy Company Manager who will support the Company Manager in managing the wellbeing, performance and administration of The Burnt City performing company.

This role requires someone with an acute attention to detail and a willingness to take on complex administrative tasks. The role also demands someone with high emotional intelligence, well-attuned to peoples’ needs and feelings, who is an active listener.

Box Office Assistant who will help with the operation of the box office for The Burnt City, specifically at show times. The successful candidates will work with the Box Office Manager to provide exceptional customer service to all visitors to The Burnt City. They should possess outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to maintain a calm and positive attitude in a busy environment. The ideal candidates will have experience and knowledge of the working practices of a commercial box office and all that is necessary to ensure the smooth running of a busy incoming.

Front of House Steward who will join the Front of House Team on an exciting new show. The successful candidate will play a key role in welcoming audience members, ensuring their safety and delivering excellent customer service before, during and after the show. They should possess strong teamwork and communication skills, be observant and be able to maintain a calm and positive attitude in a busy environment. Experience working in a commercial theatrical environment is desirable.

Bar Staff who will be in charge to operate the bar on the next project, The Burnt City. The successful candidates will work with Production and Venue teams to operate a site specific bar to run in conjunction with an exciting new show. You will be serving a range of beverages in a busy bar and immersive performance space and be responsible for keeping the bar areas clean and tidy. You will have excellent customer service, communication and team working skills.

Venue Cleaning Team who will be working throughout the venue and will be responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained and that appropriate cleaning methods are used, reporting any issues to the Cleaning Supervisor and Building Manager in good time. The cleaning team will also be responsible for the upkeep of the backstage, offices and performance spaces, ensuring that these are maintained in line with the design of the show, you will have great attention to detail and be able to follow complex instructions.

Stage Door staff with great people skills to act as the first point of contact on the premises of our next project, The Burnt City. As a team member, the Stage Door staff will open and close the building, managing the stage door during all building opening hours including during the show run. They will be the welcoming face of the company, providing a warm and helpful first point of contact for all staff and performers, contractors and visitors. They will ensure all receive a warm welcome, check credentials, communicate with other departments, organise inductions and keep accurate records.
