Escape The Everyday with Your Friends

Morning

First stop it’s time to go cruising without the crowds, head for Greenwich Pier to pick up your Hop On and Off passes, then blow the cobwebs away on the open upper deck of a City Cruises boat, take in both riverbanks of the world’s famous River Thames, glide past the city’s most famous landmarks, including Westminster, Tate Modern and the Southbank, The Shard, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London. Make sure your phone has full charge and snap those selfies as you pass underneath the river’s iconic bridges. Disembark back at Greenwich Pier and continue your day of discovery.

Afternoon

Venture to parts unknown as you uncover more of Greenwich on one of the many Guided Tours. As the capital’s greenest Borough, the best way to explore it is on foot with your very own personal tour guide. There’s plenty of open spaces to wander, including royal parks, historic woodland and 8.5 miles of open riverside, make sure you walk The Line, London’s first public art walk, it’s full of inspiring sculptures from Damien Hirst, Antony Gormley and Alex Chinneck, it also has insta spots along the way. You’ll also be guided around Greenwich’s famous highlights including palatial palaces and the UNESCO world heritage site, then onto the hidden gems, picturesque streets and historic alleyways, as some tours end at Greenwich Market, home to art galleries, antiques and amazing street food, it’s the perfect hang out for a late lunch. Sample dishes from all corners of the world, just take your pick.

Following food, it’s time to work the carbs off and take your next steps to the Old Royal Naval College. Here, you can escape to an epic crowd-free cultural experience in the heart of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site. Discover the hidden gem of the Painted Hall boasting one of the most spectacular Baroque interiors in Europe. Stroll the wide-open spacious grounds and gardens and you’ll feel like the star of the show, the site is regularly used as a location and stunning backdrop for television productions and feature films such as Netflix's hot new Regency-era romance, Bridgerton; The Dark Night Rises; The Crown; Thor: Dark World; Kingsman and Skyfall - so, step onto this famous set for a truly memorable afternoon.

Evening

To top your Greenwich day off it’s time to reach new heights, Up at The O2. Choose from a sunset or twilight climb, with enhanced health and safety measures in place, you’ll be treated to a more intimate and memorable experience than ever before. Clip in and be guided with your besties up the 52-metre-high climb, walking over the roof of the world’s most popular entertainment venue, on a walkway that is suspended just above the iconic tent canvas! You’ll be blown away by the amazing views of London and the twinkling lights, along the river Thames when you reach the top, it’s a truly unrivalled way to see the city. Just make sure you’ve got your panoramic mode at the ready to capture the 360° vistas.

As soon as you’re back on the ground, find an idyllic spot to relax in one of Greenwich’s riverside pubs or bars, the Sail Loft or Trafalgar Tavern are perfect for supping and spending the last hours of your evening.
