A WEEKEND of celebratory events is planned for when Greenwich becomes a royal borough .
The Letter Patent, a document formally confirming the borough’s Royal status and signed by the Queen, will be presented to Greenwich on 3rd February. General Gordon Square will be hosting festivities from 4.30pm, with marquees on the square, roving entertainers and winter warmer drinks.
The Big Screen will show a specially commissioned short film exploring Greenwich’s royal connections and explaining the features of the new coat of arms. |
