The Pilot is located in North Greenwich, just a stone’s throw from The O2 arena and the many attractions of the area. It offers an amazing entertainment space, with a renovated bar serving exceptional British and continental beers.
A smart, fresh and seasonal menu is served in the new dining area integrated with the beautiful garden. Also available is a private room with a terrace balcony attached. To complete the offer, we have 10 boutique rooms with fantastic views of The O2 and Canary Wharf.
A painted stone tablet on the wall of the pub reads “CEYLON PLACE New East Greenwich 1801” – dating The Pilot as probably the oldest surviving building on the Greenwich Peninsula.
Next to the pub is a row of eight cottages that were constructed for workers at the adjacent tidal mill and chemical works and are Grade II listed.
The cottages are noted for another reason too – they were used as the backdrop to Blur’s music video for ‘Park Life’! The pub itself also features in the video, grabbing a little slice of 90’s BritPop glory!
